Camp Starts In
Camp Jamison believes that summer camp changes lives! We believe that every child should get to experience sleeping in a cabin, hiking through the woods, and roasting marshmallows with friends. That is why we created and maintain our one week overnight program available to all Philadelphia area children. Our mission is to offer a program that is diverse, inclusive, and most importantly affordable! In a city that is surrounded by so many struggles, Camp Jamison continues to allow children to have a fun filled week while also providing activities that strengthen their interpersonal and peace building skills that allow them to be community leaders back in their neighborhoods.
My daughter has been going to this camp for 3 years now. This is more than just a camp for us – this is our family! The staff here is wonderful. They are very passionate and great with the kids. This is my daughter’s first away camp and she loves it here. The activities they do are so fun. It really is a great experience for the kids to build real friendships and actually have fun without technology. Best camp hands down!

James M. Trauger Memorial Scholarship
James M. Trauger was a founding Board Member of Camp Jamison. Camp Jamison would not exist without his support, guidance and endless advice.
Jim dedicated his life to summer camp. He knew that conversations were better when held on cabin porches and that a great week at camp can change a child’s life.
In memory of his life and to celebrate his impact Camp Jamison will be establishing the James M. Trauger Memorial Scholarship. More details on the scholarship will follow shortly.
