At Camp Jamison, we believe that a summer camp experience has the power to change lives! We believe that every child should get to experience sleeping in a cabin, hiking through the woods, and roasting marshmallows with friends. That is why, since opening in 2011, we’ve offered a comprehensive, one week overnight summer camp experience to all Philadelphia area children.
Our mission at Camp Jamison is to offer a program that’s diverse, inclusive, and, most importantly, affordable! For kids growing up in a city with so many challenges, Camp Jamison offers a much-needed escape and reset – a fun, relaxing, and reflective week full of activities designed to strengthen children’s interpersonal and peace-building skills to empower them to become community leaders back home, in their Philly neighborhoods.

Your child can make new friends, try new activities, and go on exciting adventures this summer! Arts and crafts, canoeing, and swimming in the river are all part of the plan! Camp Jamison is open to Philadelphia-area youth ages 8 -14. Our Counselor in Training Program is for youth ages 15 and older. Camp will be held at the Pocono Environmental Education Center.
Camp Jamison is filled with opportunities for fun — from a breathtaking lake that’s perfect for canoeing, kayaking and scenic swimming, to spacious campground areas to enjoy daily sports!

James M. Trauger was a founding Board Member of Camp Jamison. Camp Jamison would not exist without his support, guidance and endless advice.
Jim dedicated his life to providing children with the opportunity to experience summer camp. He knew that conversations were better when held on cabin porches, and that a great week at camp can change a child’s life.
